Natalia Echeverri is an Adjunct Assistant Professor and the director of the Master of Landscape Architecture and PDLA programs in the Division of Landscape Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. From 2017-2019, she was also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, Graduate Architecture and Urban Design (GAUD), where she led the Havana Summer program. Natalia’s teaching and research is focused on how historic and contemporary practices of urban design and landscape planning have engaged with issues of density, settlement, and climate dynamics in Hong Kong. Her work has been published in MONU and exhibited in Rotterdam, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Venice. She holds a Master of Architecture and Master of City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. Natalia has practiced extensively in the fields of architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture. She is a founding partner of VALECHE Studio, a research and design consultancy devoted to exploring landscape’s role in the construction and experience of the city.
